WWW in the URL stands for World Wide Web and websites can choose to contain the www or not depending on how they feel. They can use htaccess file to make sure that the visitors get what the owner of the site wants.

Here in Daeyounfa.com, I’ve made it so the WWW is included because I like it there. If you try to visit the site without a WWW you will be forwarded to WWW.Daeyounfa.com because I have set it so it happens this way. I just like the WWW in there.

And I believe you get more search engine results with this, although I have experienced it a lot, it may not be a 100% true so don’t take my word for it because many websites use both.
